Sustainable and Creative Easter Basket Ideas

Posted by Julia Wheeler on

As Easter approaches, the aisles of supermarkets and stores overflow with brightly colored plastic eggs, synthetic grass, and an array of single-use trinkets destined for the landfill. However, amidst the traditional festivities lies an opportunity for a more mindful and eco-conscious celebration. This Easter, we partnered up with creative mama, Amber Thrane, to come up with some Easter basket ideas that embrace sustainability and creativity.

BASKETS: Choose a basket you can reuse in your home for organizing kids' toys, laundry, etc.

Fill their baskets with useful items for the spring season: gardening tools, sidewalk chalk, books, sunscreen, sunglasses, reusable water bottles (with stickers to decorate!) beach towels & swimwear!

For the treats, we love finding sweets with less sugar like Olipop, Smart Sweets, and UNREAL - many of these can be found at Target, Costco and Amazon.
